Martin Luther King Jr. said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”
As such, I endeavor to do a great job identifying, investigating, providing insights, incubating, and implementing innovative healthcare ideas to advance equitable, value-based care through management consulting, executive leadership, corporate strategy, corporate development, organizational development, and go-to-market planning.
King later said that “an individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” My mission to rise to the broader concerns of humanity consist of being a builder, leader, and operator of health plans and health plan services that improve health, health equity, and the healthcare system, especially for under-served, vulnerable, and senior populations.
Signature Achievements:
1) Successful Business Building: GTM team for a new health plan, helped to lead the largest public health plan in the US, GTM strategy for a healthcare services company, and led a management consulting practice for 18+ years.
2) Successful Funding: Three Private Equity/Corporate liquidity transactions.
3) Successful M&A: Two corporate acquisitions and integrations (Health plan and health tech $5M-$35M).
